Webinar Dust Avoidance and Elimination with Processing of Tea

Together with AZO, Lindor organized an online seminar for German tea companies on the subject of ‘Dust avoidance and elimination with processing of tea’.

Tea Processing Seminar Video

It was a coproduction of AZO VITAL, AZO Marketing, and of LINDOR Process Engineering, initiated by Michael Kaiser, sales manager Germany. Tea processing experts from AZO and Lindor shared how innovation is reshaping the way tea is handled. The seminar was 1 hour long but we have consolidated it to a compact version of 9 minutes.

Slides, animations and videos outline the entire production process of tea, from raw material handling through mixing, down to packaging and everything in between. Lindor addresses the problems and solutions with dosing, mixing and flavoring.

Tea Processing Machinery & Solutions

AZO, a German family-run company, highlighted their fully integrated systems used worldwide. From receiving and storing raw materials to dosing, mixing, and packing, AZO’s solutions are designed for hygiene and efficiency. Special attention is paid to minimizing dust and contamination—common challenges in tea processing. For instance, smart hopper designs automatically activate extraction fans to reduce airborne particles and protect product integrity.

Handling big bags adds another layer of complexity. AZO’s systems ensure clean, dust-controlled discharge even during high-volume transfers—critical for maintaining product quality.

The spotlight then turned to Lindor, a Dutch company known for their gentle mixing technology. Their unique drum mixers preserve the delicate characteristics of tea—such as aroma, flavor, and particle structure—by avoiding friction, heat, and mechanical stress. This makes them ideal for high-quality or aromatic blends.

A hot topic during the Q&A was how to adjust moisture in flavored teas without losing aroma. The answer? Dry air—not just hot air—is key to preserving fragrance while achieving the right moisture balance.

Conclusion

In short, the collaboration between AZO and Lindor shows that careful engineering and smart design can make all the difference in delivering a consistent, high-quality cup of tea.
