A rotary blender, also called a rotary drum blender or rotary drum mixer, is an industrial mixing machine used to blend powders, granulates and other bulk solids through the controlled rotation of a horizontal drum. As the drum rotates, the product is lifted and gently falls through the mixture, creating a consistent blend using gravity-driven movement rather than aggressive mechanical agitation.

Rotary blenders are commonly used in the food, chemical, pharmaceutical, plastics and agricultural industries, particularly for materials that are fragile, abrasive or sensitive to shear. Because the mixing action is gentle, they can help minimize particle damage, fines generation and product degradation while achieving a homogeneous mixture.
