The Powder Tec seminar took place on 13 and 14 December in Solingen and was organised by ZDS, the Süßwaren Academy. The seminar focused entirely on the increasing use of powders in the food, confectionery, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. These specialized methods for processing mixtures, their transport, storage and mixing, dissolving and such, require specific expertise. At this congress, experts from science and industry demonstrated their latest developments regarding the processing and handling of powders.

The international conference on detergents in the Middle East, DETEX 2018, was held in Amman, Jordan in April.
